Hot Toys for Christmas 2011


One of the toys which is being tipped as a top seller this coming Christmas is 'Fijit Friends'. Girls are going to love these. Fijit Friends are a cool and crazy interactive robot toy which can dance, laugh and chat. They can say over 150 different phrases and respond to over 50 different keywords. There are four different types all with their own personality, named Willa, Sage, Logan and Serafina.

Twilight Dolls are tipped for being big this Crimbo. With the continued outstanding success of the Twilight books and movies all sorts of merchandise have become available. The Barbie Twilight Bella doll is one of the latest releases from Mattel toys which is sure to be a hit with Barbie and Twilight fans. This Bella Barbie doll is based on the character Bella Swan which features in all the movies and books. If you don't know much about Twilight, Bella is the main female protagonist and all the movies and books are from her perspective.

A toy that could be popular for both boys and girls is he Angry Birds Knock on Wood Game. Who would have thought this popular smartphone app would be turned into a board game. But it makes perfect sense as the app became a bestseller so this board game could too become a huge seller.

Now it's time to look at just boy's toys; With the success of the movie Transformers 3: Dark of the moon, boys are just going to love the new Transformers 3 Optimus Prime toy. It is a convertible truck which quickly transforms from a truck to a robot and then back again to a truck. Transformers are iconic action figures which will give great pleasure to boys who loved the Transformers movies.

Mini remote control helicopters have been out for some time but they are getting better and better. You can now buy a spy helicopter which has a little 1.3M pixels camera on board so you can film and spy on people. This is also a great tool to an extent as you can fly the helicopter on to your roof to and film the condition of your roof or gutters.

Gundam models from Bandai have also been around a while but are always very popular at Christmas. There is a serious fan-base for Gundam model kids which are basically action figures depicting fictional characters. Gundam has different and many grading styles. There are 4 grades; they are as SD,MG, HG and PG. These grades are recognised for the comprehensive building procedure for each. Each grade has a variety of complexity, colours, designs and sizes, the toughest is considered to be PG.

The neo cube is great for older kids and adults. It is not really a toy as such but more of an entertainment device. It is also great for stress relief. It is comprised of 216 individual high energy earth magnets which you can create into hundreds of different shapes and patterns.
