he Joy of Discovery-What New Things Have You Uncovered?

One of the best things about living life is the ability to get out and enjoy new things. Right from the beginning of time when as a baby you are open up to the discovery of so many new things, you soon grow and learn and find that the world around you is full of so much more to experience. For those people who are content to just sit on the couch and watch tv, I feel a kind of sorrow for, for they truly do not know what they are missing.
One of my great grand-daughters recently moved to Italy to experience a life of art and fashion. The ability to explore a new world, cultures, food, and love in such a place is something that she will take around with her for the rest of her life whether she chooses to stay or come back home to Canada. Learning how other people live can be a truly deep and intimate experience that can even help shape who we are as a person and perhaps even give us the motivation or focus we need to make something of our own lives when we may not know what to do.
I have a couple grand-daughters who love to travel. These sisters make the perfect pair because they are great together. One is an excellent photographer, while the other one is a skilled writer. They have plans to tour places such as Europe to discover the great history and see the castles. While these castles may not be new discoveries like an archaeologist may uncover, they can still be shared with the world through a breath-taking photo and descriptive article. It is these types of things that make life enjoyable and full of wonder. For the people who cannot find themselves on these journeys, the ability to capture the moment through verse or camera will enable these discoveries to be shared and enjoyed for many years to come.
You never know where life will take you. If you are open to new discoveries, you can learn so much about life, love, and the world around you. I have seen so much being invented and discovered in my time that I truly marvel at the thought of what they world may be like in the next hundred years. Technology has taken us to new levels in everyday living and science, allowing us to save countless lives with the promise of saving thousands more. Lives and jobs are made easier by the help of these technological and medical discoveries and we have come to know a standard of living that none of our ancestors could even have dreamed about.
