Fog light - Very crucial and safe for night driving

Fog light is installed in any vehicle just above the headlights and is used to see things while driving in a foggy or misty day or night. These are extremely crucial at time of poor weather conditions and without these you will not be able to drive even a small distance. Yellow is the ideal color for fog light as wavelength of yellow lights is longest wavelength among all visible lights. This is the reason why yellow lights are used for both brake lights and stop lights.

Any vehicle has tail lights, fog lights, head lights and many more so that the driver is able to drive safely. All these have their functions and help the driver see clearly on road while driving and thus carry on the journey safely. When the weather is foggy and bad it is impossible to see through with the help of the normal headlights that are used for driving at night. In fact, if there is fog all around, you have to switch on the fog lights while driving during the day also if visibility is extremely poor.

Usually fog is dense in early mornings and late evenings. However, sometimes the time duration of the fog extends to the day. But the driver is prepared for all this while driving during winter season and he should check the functioning of his fog light and also check the tail lights whether they are working properly or not. Just as you need to see in front of you while driving, you also need to show your presence on road for the vehicles that are coming after you. Here tail lights are useful as those vehicles will come to know that there is a four wheeler or a two wheeler going in front of them.

When you are driving at night, no matter whether the distance is small or big, you should check all types of lights in the vehicle and see that all are functioning properly. Safety measures are always important while driving and you should take care of both small and big points in the same way.
