STEP 1: Get on the net and do your research.

Before you make any kind of decision, make sure you're aware of what the roles and responsibilities of a personal support worker are. That means doing a few searches on the net, visiting school websites, and generally doing what you can to get a solid all-around understanding of the discipline.

STEP 2: Think about yourself.
