6 Steps for Using Pressure Washer

The fastest and the easiest way to clean your garage, car, backyard, pavements, garden furniture is having a pressure washer with you. Maximize its usability with proper knowledge on how to use it with safety. Sometimes too much power from the pressure washer can cause damage. Keep this pointers and simple steps on how to use and operate properly your pressure washer without causing harm.
1. Read the manuals
Take time to read the product manual before you use your pressure washer. Get instructions step by step on how to start and what you need to know about the product before operation. We know that pressure washers have the same purpose but different brands and models differ on how to run it.

2. Product testing
After you have read the directions in the manual, start the pressure washer and test it first in a small area to ensure the pressure spray will not cause damage to your materials.

3. Gear Up
When cleaning with chemicals, wear your gloves on and wear proper clothes for work. Small debris and dust can irritate your eyes you have to wear your protective glasses. Just in case that you can’t stand the noise of the pressure washer motor, wear earplugs or headphones.

4. Clean from top to bottom
To get the best of your cleaning, consider getting angles of the flow of gravity on your workplace. Start from top to bottom. It is a technique you should do to make washing fence, pavements, and decks simple and easy. If you are dealing with light materials, do not let the hose get nearer, I may cause breakage and can damage your material like windows, lights or vents. Doing this trick you can avoid unwanted streaks. The standard standing distance is 4-5 feet away from the vertical surface you are cleaning. If needed, you can move closer. Be on guard of your area and stay away from electrical spaces.

5. Right amount of chemicals
Chemicals for removing extreme dirt and greases cleans faster than just an ordinary detergent. Get the right amount of chemical you will use. Some pressure washer like Michelin have detergent tank storage that automatically goes along with the pressure hose. If you are washing with these chemicals or detergent, lower the pressure. If you tried to spray on high pressure, the solution will be splash off and be wasted. Chemical content of detergents can cause a fire when mixed to bleach. Don’t mix the bleach.

6. Rinse Well
Resting the chemical work to the material you are washing should only last up to 5-10 minutes. Do not allow it to dry and leave residue. Rinse it well using water.
