Best College Grants

The best grant for college is one being offered by the government called the FAFSA or Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a really easy and pretty much self-explanatory form to fill out. You must complete the basic information such as name and address and you must also have you school code which means you should have applied and been accepted for a college school, if you are thinking about a few other school then enter those school codes in the provided spaces. If you're a dependent, then you will need to collect your parents or guardians social security information as well as their tax information from the previous year to complete the FAFSA
These are the general questions you will be asked; household size, total income (you and your parents), marital status, school you're attending, student status. Now obviously if you are going to school full-time you will qualify for more aid then someone going to school on a part-time basis.

The application should take you about an hour to fill out. You will be notified via mail if you qualify for any grants such as the Pell Grant or any type of government loans and other student aids.

As you know, going to college can be very costly. Taking out student loans could end up costing you many times the loan amount after you factor in the interest. My advice to you is to apply for all the grants for college loans as you can and try to get as much of this free money as possible. Colleges often charge $5,000 - $10,000 per semester just to attend. That could add up to thousands of dollars of debt once you graduate.

Once you are approved for a college grant, you must maintain your grades and be in good standings, otherwise you will have to pay back this money. If you graduate college, you won't ever have to pay back grant money, so it is essentially free money to help you fund your college education and all it's worth. Some people may have left over money after all the schooling is paid for, this is to help you with the cost of living such as bills, food, gas money. The government is basically paying you to go to college because a productive workface will equal more tax money in the future. So go for it and good luck.
