When Men Love Branded Merchandise

It is hard to imagine that men, the insensitive and uncreative version of human evolution could ever develop the taste for superior quality branded merchandise. More often than not, names like Chanel and Luis Vuitton on a credit card bill causes a guy's blood pressure to shoot through the roof and considering how hard it is to make an honest living who can blame them. But believe you me; men are not the stereotype they once used to be. It seems that they have finally learned to appreciate the finer things in life. Branded leather products being one of them. So when do guys go for Chanel products?

• Establishing status quo: We make the mistakes of thinking that only teenagers fall victim to peer pressure but fact of the matter is that although the players may change the game doesn't. In a society, where people are always looking for ways to make an impression, what you wear and how you wear it is very important. Which is why some guys, go for branded merchandise. They hover at newsstands and keep on tip toes about the latest launch of men products, so that they in a more modern and materialistic sort of way-stay ahead of the pack.

• Sheer Quality: The cynics may consider branded products to be overrated. Their advertising beguiles people to buy products that are not very good in the first place. Those people are wrong. True, most designing houses spent a substantial amount of money in advertising but their products would not have survived the decades if they failed to deliver. Some women like to shop out of sheer pleasure and there are some men who regard shopping as a means of acquiring necessities. To them what is the use of buying something that you know is not going to last very long? It is worth buying something that delivers on both quality and durability. For the financially smart man: Branded products are simply more cost effective.

• For the fashion guru within: Designing houses spend a lot of money on advertising; it is also a given that they spend a lot of money designing the things that they come up with. It is their job to read the market trends: find out what is hot, what is not, what is attracting the ladies this Christmas season. Most bachelors are on the lookout on to learn what would catch the glance of that perfect gal.

It is an outdated understanding that only women worry about fashion. Perhaps their male counterparts are not as enthusiastic but they are concerned about how they look. For some it is a hobby and for others, it is a tool of survival. The U.K fashion industry is worth nearly £21 billion pounds and you know you cannot attribute that to women alone. Looking good is a global concept. Fashion was primarily conceived as a means to express yourself through what you wear; true that it has become industrialized but it does not mean that the entire concept is dead. Neither for women nor for men.
