Three Techniques to Clean Your Burnt Cookware with Salt

Salt is one of the most popular and most used products for cooking, and recently for cleaning, too. As it has abrasive structure and is pretty firm, it is perfect for removing stains from hard surfaces. In this article I will share with you three techniques for cleaning burnt cookware with salt.

Burnt cookware is quite an unpleasant problem, but it happens, especially if you are a newbie in the cooking area. A moment of distraction and your meal is good enough only for your garbage bin. And sometimes your pan also gets ruined.

How to clean burnt cookware with salt?

The first technique that a professional cleaner London told me about is very easy. Fill in the burnt utensil with hot water and put two tablespoons of salt in it. Stir well, so that the salt dissolves, and leave it for a night. Try to remove the baked-on food stains with a spatula in the morning, and if they are still firm, change the salty water and leave it for another night. Wash as usual on the next day.


The second burnt cookware cleaning method requires you to rinse the utensil with hot water, first, so that the stains loosen up a little bit. Sprinkle salt all over them, and if you want some baking soda. Dip a sponge in some white vinegar, and rub the pan with it. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to recover the original condition of the cookware.

You have to mix a tablespoon of salt with a cup of bicarbonate of soda and vinegar until you prepare a paste. Spread the paste in the burnt cookware and leave it to dry. These techniques probably seem quite unusual to some of you, but it is a lot better to use them, than to use strong degreasing detergents to wash your burnt cookware.
