Types Of caviar

If you are the real lover of the Caviar you must know about the types of Caviar available before you start eating them.  Though it is a Turkish word (khavya) but it has been a part of the diet for Eastern and Middle Eastern Europe.  The most delicious caviar comes from the sevruga, beluga, and osetra, and varieties of sturgeon. But these days you will also find caviar from other fishes including salmon, lumpfish and tuna, as well as in different forms.

Firstly Caviar used to find only in America due the availability of sturgeon, from America it used to get exported to different parts of the world. And very soon it becomes famous and different types of American Caviar were getting available.
Types of American Caviar Available in the Market:

American Sturgeon Caviar/Hackleback Caviar:

This is one of the most sophisticated American gourmet caviar or roe. It is found from the hackleback sturgeon which can be your best domestic option.  American Sturgeon caviar is small in size, a glistening jet-black, and dissolves in your mouth, leaving a nutty aftertaste. It is easier to found and makes a great substitute for more expensive imports.

Apart from the American Sturgeon Bowfin Caviar, Salmon Caviar, Whitefish Caviar, Paddlefish Caviar, Lumpfish Caviar, and Trout Caviar are available which has different kinds of tastes, some are quite expensive and some are quite cheap in price. Out of all these Salmon Caviar are known as pearls as they are reddish pink in color which is larger, juicier and much saltier than other caviars.

Next comes the turn of Russian Caviar which is equally in demand and are very much tasty. They have made the Caviar eating an art. It is highly priced that only the rich can afford to have Caviar. Various types of Russian Caviar are available in the market.

Iranian Caviar:

 Iranian Caviar are harvested and fished from sturgeon species off the coast of Iran in the Caspian Sea.  It is of very high quality and is just great in taste.

Beluga Caviar 

 It is one the rarest, best, and definitely the most expensive caviars. Beluga roe is just so delicious- large eggs, soft in texture, heavy and ripe, ranging from pale silver to black in color.

Ossetra/Osetra Caviar 

After Beluga Caviar, another very rich in taste are the Osetra Caviar. These are of medium-size, and have an oilier, silkier texture that just melts in your mouth. It is more recognizable due to its golden yellow/brownish color. Golden Ossetra or Golden Imperial caviar is highly sought-after by connoisseurs, and is very expensive.
Sevruga Caviar 

When price is a factor you can choose Sevruga caviar. You don't have to compromise on the quality yet you will avail these at a much cheaper price.

Asetra

Typically from the Caspian Sea in Iran, this is quite a complex and very sophisticated caviar. Asetra Caviar is dark to light gray, and can also be golden color. Very rich is taste, it is perfect to sooth your taste buds and yet it comes within your budget.
