Traditional Living Room Design Tips


When we speak of traditional living room design, it means that the room's architecture and interior follows the old-style design themes. This type of architecture and interior design can be seen in huge castles, palaces and homes. This type of design basically expresses grandness. 1. Lighting - in a traditional living room, lighting is very important. Stay away from harsh lighting. Instead, find a lighting that will give a good ambience as makes you feel comfortable and cozy.

3. Walls - as for your walls, you may or may not paint it. You can install plain decorative wallpaper instead. It's going to be the most visible part of your living room, so you really have to be careful what you put here. With traditional living rooms, decorative patterned wallpaper is very common. Do use the same if you want to achieve this look.

4. General look of the living room - since the living room is the first place that guests see in your house, it should have an inviting appeal to it. In order for you to achieve this, you should use brighter colors. As for your furniture, it should have molded edges. This is very important.

5. Other accessories - you may need chandeliers, oil paintings and portraits of great artists, authors or personalities. These will add a traditional touch to your area.
